On Friday, Ford finally released the specs of its upcoming 2015 redesigned Mustang. A 3.7-liter V6, 2.3-liter Ecoboost Turbo 4-cylinder, and 5.0-liter V8 will be available at launch. The specs, listed after the jump, just might surprise you.
Lets begin with the 3.7-liter V6. Power is down slightly, compared to the outgoing model, at 300 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque. The surprising part is not that power is down but that the V6 is rated at less than the 4-cylinder turbo making it the entry-level model.
The 2.3-liter Ecoboost four banger is rated at 310 hp and 320 lb-ft of torque. The 2015 Mustang is the first to have a turbo since the 1986 SVO.
The GT model will pack a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 that produces 435 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque. These figures are up from what Ford previously estimated at 420 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque.
The new Mustang will start at $24,425 including destination. Expect the vehicle to go on sale sometime later this year. Hit the source link for more photos.
