  • Microsoft's Lumia 830 has been annouced at IFA

    IFA is a major event happening right now in Berlin. The tech world meets every year and announces new amazing products for us all to drool over. Microsoft is no exception. On Thursday, Microsoft announced three new smartphones running Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1, and they feature the brand new Lumia Denim update.

    The Lumia 830 is the successor to the Lumia 820 and is being totted as "the affordable flagship." A 5.0inch ClearBlack IPS display is on the front with a resolution of 1280 x 720. Everything is housed inside of Gorilla Glass 3 from Corning. A 10MP camera with Ziess optics is located at the rear with optical image stabilization on board with the ability to record video in 1080p at 30fps.

    The Lumia 830 will have a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor clocked in at 1.2Ghz and 1GB of RAM. A micro SD card slot is on board with support for up to 128GB of memory. Everything is powered by a removable 2220 mAh battery.

    Expect the Lumia 830 to be available globally sometime this month with a price tag of 330 Euros or $433.
