If you have not heard by now, Apple is set to unveil two new iPhones (and possibly a smartwatch) on Sept. 9. The event will take place at the Flint Center for the Performing Arts at De Anza College in Cupertino. This is also the same location that Steve Jobs unveiled the first Mac 30 years ago.
This is where things get interesting. Apple is building a new structure but will not say what its purpose is. Rumors are that it could be a showroom for the press to drool over Apple's new products. Whatever its purpose, Apple is set to release something huge. By having the press event take place at the Flint Center, Apple has significantly upped the seating capacity to 2,405 eager journalists.
I personally won't be at the event (stupid class) but I will write some compelling in-depth articles about the new products. Stay Tuned.
Relative seating capacity of Apple Event venues:
Campus Town Hall: 301
Yerba Buena Center: 757
Flint Center: 2,405
