  • Xbox One July update is live.

Microsoft has kept its promise to provide monthly updates to the Xbox One. With each update Microsoft adds new features that vocal users ask for. The July update is no different. If you have your console set to instant-on mode then your Xbox will update automatically over the next few days, if not already.  A list of improvements is below.
    • Improvements to the Blu-ray player.
    • Users can 'like' Game DVR clips.
    • Achievements app can now be snapped.
    • Support for disc and digital bundles from content providers.
    • Users can select their preferred spoken language.
    • Double tap to bring up snap mode.
The snapped achievements app will show how close you are to achieving an achievement. The double tap to bring up snap mode was added for easy access to snap mode for those with a Kinect-less system. The selectable spoken language feature is there for users who have a British accent but live in say New York. Selecting your language will change how the Xbox detects your voice. Once an app is snapped, the double tap feature works like it used to in that it hops  between both apps.

The July update is rolling out as we speak so if you do not see it now, be patient.
