HP announced two new tablets at a press even in New Delhi this week, one being the ElitePad 1000 G2 the other being the HP Omni 10. The ElitePad 1000's screen size is 10.1 inches diagonal with WUXGA resolution and an aspect ratio of 16:10. WPcentral reports that the build quality of the G2 is "top notch." The G2 weighs just 1.5lbs and is 9.2mm thin. HP says that the tablet is extremely durable by passing 9 military grade tests.
Powering the G2 is a 64-bit Intel Atom processor with 4GB of available RAM. The tablet can be had with 64 or 128GBs of memory and also includes 4G connectivity. The G2 can be customized with HP's available accessories for ElitePad's meaning: batteries, a docking station, cases, smart jackets and many more.
The Windows 8.1 powered tablet will reportedly cost INR 59,990 (roughly $1,000 US) with no word on availability as of yet.
