  • Apple begins banning apps because of new policies.

Engadget reports that Apple has begun banning apps that give some kind of credit or reward to users who view video ads. Seeing that this is a very common practice among apps in the store, I am not sure how this all will play out. Not only is it against the new policy to reward users for watching ads, but also apps that push other apps not made by that particular developer. An article from Engadget states that developers who once had their apps approved are now seeing them be rejected and pulled from the store. Apple also has begun removing apps that allow users to download and store illegal music. Though I am not sure how these apps were allowed to begin with, they allow users to go to sites like Mp3 skull and others and download the music from those sites. The apps then store the music within the app or let users transfer the music to their computer and put on the device so it can be played back via the built in music player.
