Today Apple has added some new apps to make Apple TV a little bit more compelling. ABC News, AOL On, PBS Kids, Willow TV and a redesigned Flickr app have all been added to the device. The ABC News app provides video clips of current news events and a live stream of the channel. The live stream can also be found at the official ABC News website. The app is also free for all users and does not require a television provider login.
Willow TV is the official broadcaster of cricket sporting events for the US and Canada. The app requires a monthly fee of $15 in order to work. 9to5Mac reports that the new Flickr app includes better search, an updated icon, a "Your Flickr" section and a more detailed Explore view.
All of these great apps are available today. Just download them to your Apple TV.
