  • Mac OS X is dead, long live Mac OS X

If E3 news is just not your thing, then Apple has got you covered. On Monday, Apple announced a revamped operating system for its desktop computers, macOS (stylized as macOS) and Sierra is its first iteration. With macOS Sierra, Apple is looking to continue to combine its ecosystem of operating systems.

You can now unlock your Mac from your Apple Watch, use Siri (finally), and copy text on your iPhone and then paste it on your Mac. Users will also be able to shop online using Apple Pay. Siri will be accessed on the dock. A public beta will be available in July if you're willing to try out Siri on the desktop. MacOS Sierra will be released this fall as a free update.
