  • New Windows 9 screenshots leak.

Thanks to myce, the world now has two more screenshots of the next version of Windows codenamed Threshold. The two images show a brand new start menu and what metro-stye apps look like running on the desktop. Not much looks to have changed to the start menu since Microsoft debuted it at Build back in April, but it was not reported how early or late into development these screenshots were taken.

The Verge was able to confirm that a full screen version of the start menu will still be present in Windows 9 like it currently is in Windows 8. Expect Windows 9 to be released sometime in 2015 along side a major overhaul to Xbox One, Windows Phone and Windows RT operating systems.
