  • Samsung's Galaxy Tab S with Super AMOLED screens announced. (w/video)

    On Thursday Samsung announced the Super AMOLED Galaxy Tab S. Two screen sizes were announced at the event, 8.4 and 10.5 inches. The tablets are only 6.6mm thin and come in white and bronze flavors and feature Samsung's Adaptive Display which looks to change the screens saturation and brightness based on certain apps in use. The technology also allows for the device's RGB sensory can adjust white balance based on the ambient sensory.

    Samsung says that these tablet's battery can handle up to 11 hours of 1080p video playback. The tablets are slated to launch in July in the US for $399 for the 8.4inch model and $499 for the 10.5inch. The Wi-fi only model will be released in July with LTE variants to follow there after.
