Amiibo figures stand on a round platform in a pose that is unique to the character. Mario stands in more of a fighting stance and the Wii fit character stands in a yoga type stance. When an Amiibo figure is placed on the Wii U Gamepad that person's unique character is brought to life to the console, even if the console is not their own. All of your unique moves and customizations save to the device Amiibo figure so no Amiibo character will be the same.Amiibo characters will be compatible with Super Smash Brothers for Wii U at launch and are coming to several other Wii U games after launch. Next year, Nintendo will release a dongle that will bring Amiibo compatibility to 3DS. More information will be released on just how Amiibo figures will interact with other games in the coming weeks.
