  • Announced: Android Auto with over 40 car manufactures on board.

Android Auto looks to reinvent the way we interact with our cars. With the help of an Android powered phone, users can use their voice to do just about anything. Google Now is present in Android Auto and can be accessed by the voice button on any car.
If a text message comes in, a notification will appear on the screen and with the touch of a button Google Now will read the message. To reply, just press the voice button on the car and say reply to message. Google Now will appear and ask for the message, repeat the message and ask to send it. All of this was demoed on stage while a navigation trip was still active in the background.

Music can easily be played by voice as well. The song title will appear on screen with skip and rewind buttons. All of these services rely on your phone so as you upgrade to faster phones, Android Auto will also improve. Developers can implement their services with Google Auto as well. A developer preview will be available later this year.
