So the rumors were correct. In a blog post on Wednesday, Motorola, together with Google, announced the Nexus 6. The device will come in 32 and 64 gig flavors and will start at $649. Later this month, the public will be able to pre-order the device from the Google Play Store. Carrier partnerships will be announced at a later date and will be available to order through motorola.com.
The Nexus 6 will sport a six-inch Quad HD display which Motorola tots "is great for watching, reading, playing and doing." The device will rock a 13 megapixel rear facing camera with Optical Image Stabilization and an HDR+ setting. There will be dual front facing stereo speakers to take on the likes of Boomsound from HTC. Everything is run by a 3220 mAh battery with a Motorola Turbo Charger. This new charger will give the device "up to an additional 6 hours of battery life," in just 15 minutes of charging.
