  • Lenovo has a Quad HD phone of its own (video)

Lenovo announced on Wednesday that its next flagship device will come equipped with a 6-inch Quad HD display that can hang with the best of them. Unlike other flagship devices, the Vibe Z2 Pro has a unibody design made up from metallic brushed-weave forgoing plastic. The Vibe Z2 Pro's specs definitely confirm that Lenovo is ready to fight with this new device.

A 4,000 mAh battery is on board, despite its super thin body coming in at 7.7mm. The phone weighs 179 grams and comes packed with Android 4.4. A quad-core 2.5Ghz Snapdragon 801 processor is on board with 3GB of RAM as well. The camera is also no slouch coming in a 16MP with optical image stabilization and dual LED flash. There is no Micro SD card, so the maximum amount of storage available is 32GB. The phone is also dual sim compatible.

Gold, titanium and black are the official color options available for the device with a September release date scheduled. There is no official word on availability or pricing, but hopefully those living in the US and UK will have the option to order the device this fall.
