  • Don't worry, Lara Croft won't be exclusive to Xbox forever

Microsoft, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics had many in an uproar yesterday when it announced that Rise of the Tomb Raider would be an Xbox exclusive. I have never seen such a backlash from a gaming press conference ever. Well folks, the clever wording got to you.

Speaking with Eurogamer, Phil Specencer confirmed that the new Tomb Raider game will only be an exclusive for Xbox in 2015. He did not confirm which systems it would come to but it will be available beyond Xbox sometime in 2016.

"I have Tomb Raider shipping next holiday season exclusively on Xbox," Spencer said. "It is "Xbox 360 and Xbox One. I'm not trying to fake anybody out in terms of where this thing is. What they do with the franchise in the long run is not mine. I don't control it. So all I can talk about is the deal I have."

So the game will be coming for other systems but the question still remains. Which ones?
