  • Apple shows off seamless intergration between iOS and Mac OS X.

Airdrop, Handoff, and SMS & call features were all announced today at WWDC. Learn more after the jump.

To start Airdrop now works between Mac and iOS so users can seamlessly move files between computer, phone, and tablet.

Next up, Handoff.  Handoff is a brand new feature that lets users continue a project on their Mac, tablet or phone.  An on stage demo showed how users can open up iWork documents and their other Apple devices will prompt them to unlock the device and continue their work. This works with iWork documents and webpages.

Finally, users can now answer calls and text messages on any Apple device regardless if the person texting or calling you is using iMessage. Of course there needs to be an iPhone connected to the Apple account. If a user is browsing the internet on a Mac and comes across a restaurant they want to call, they can.  The Mac will act as a big speaker phone device with the call showing up at the top right of the screen where notifications show up. Users can also set up instant hotspots from their Mac to their iPhone. Stay tuned to Tech Nation for more from the event.
