  • Project Glued, Samsung's answer to Netflix for the Asian market.

    South Korean tech giant Samsung has announced its new streaming media service called Project Glued. The service will launch in Asia this year and looks to take on the likes of Netflix and Hulu.

    Project Glued will be available on Samsung devices in Q3 2014 for the citizens of Singapore and the Philippines. Samsung’s business model will be slightly different from its competitors. Project Glued will allow users to stream the first episodes of series for free. After that expect to pay about $6.50 to rent the full season of a show for 30 days. There is no word yet on if the service will be made available stateside.
