Starting today, President Obama will sign a bill that once again makes the act of unlocking a phone legal. The law will only be temporary and will only last until 2015. The bill was passed by the House of Rep. last week after previously being passed by the Senate.
Lets be clear, unlocking a phone was not illegal but unlocking a phone while under contract by a carrier was illegal and it has only been illegal since the beginning of last year. Hopefully this won't be legal for just a short period of time.
