On Thursday, Sony opened up a public beta of PlayStaion Now for users with a PS4 initially, with PS3, PS Vita, and PS TV coming soon. If you do not know already, PS Now is Sony's game rental streaming service that allows users to pre pay to play games for a set period.
Prices for PS Now are as follows: $2.99 for 4 hours, $5.99 for 7 days, $7.99 for 30 days and $14.99 for 90 days. This is Sony's answer to the PS4 not being backwards compatible. Those interested can access PS Now in the PlayStation Store. Sony recommends that you have a 5 mbps internet speed or higher and confirms that it will work over Wifi and a direct connection. Many, including myself, have speculated that PS Now is the reason Sony turned down EA's monthly rental service, EA Access, making it an Xbox One exclusive.
